This one came to us in rough shape—most of the wood frame needed to be rebuilt.
We rarely touch the design on a highly collectible piece like this, so keeping its integrity was the priority. The original serpentine form was preserved, while everything inside was rebuilt to make it solid again.
Here’s what we did:
• Rebuilt the internal wood frame to restore structure and longevity
• Preserved the original serpentine shape and overall design
• Recreated all channeling from scratch (the fabric did not come this way)
• Upholstered in a crushed green velvet that shifts in tone with the light
• Built a custom ottoman to complete the set and extend the lounge
It stays true to what it was—just stronger, softer, and a lot more inviting.
